Proportions, point placement, choice of colours: every decision is made in Paris, before the first prototype exists.
The board is built layer by layer, then dressed in its alligator grain covering, stretched by hand.
The twenty four points are laid one by one. Their alignment is the first thing the eye judges, and it forgives nothing.
Closure, hinge tension, count of checkers and dice. Nothing leaves without having been opened and closed again.

Keeping it flawless,
without thinking about it
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth, following the direction of the grain.
- For a mark, a slightly damp cloth is enough. Dry immediately afterwards.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure, which softens the depth of the colours.
- Do not use solvent based or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the checkers and dice inside after each game.
- Close the board to protect the points from dust.

How big is the 18 inch format?
Around forty five centimetres when open. It is the size that allows two people to play comfortably without the board spilling over a coffee table or console. Closed, it takes up half that footprint.
